Our journey begins with two extraordinary individuals — my parents — a husband and wife who carried a dream bigger than themselves. They set out not to build just a business, but to create freedom for their children. Freedom to choose, to express, to live fully and boldly. That vision became the foundation of everything we are today.
My name is Shreen Ilyas, and I proudly come from Bradford — a city that moves fast, fuels dreams, and champions small business owners. At 16, my mother opened the door for me to explore the world of beauty through professional training. It was a powerful opportunity, and yet, something felt missing. I didn’t just want to be in the industry — I wanted to transform it.
Years later, in 2017, with my mother’s unwavering belief and support, Crystal Crescent came to life. Founded by Ms. S. Ishaq — the true heart and visionary behind it — this business was her gift to me. She saw the dream long before I did. She planted the seed so I could grow without limits. She is the core of Crystal Crescent.
This is more than a salon — it is a family legacy built with intention.
From my late father, I inherited the eye for design, structure, and space. A man who taught me that beauty begins in the details — in the way a room feels, in how a client is welcomed, in the energy a space holds. From my mother, I inherited courage, clarity, and the kind of business mindset that builds empires. Together, their lessons allowed me to craft a business rooted in trust, soul, and authenticity.
